Wine list | Lugana |
This white wine, better than others, can express the local tradition and the territory. This wine is produced with 100% Trebbiano di Lugana grapes. The Lugana DOC with the Molin label takes its name from the ancient company winery. The Molin label is special because it is made with a careful selection of the grapes which have to pass through a cold maceration which means a resting period on peels for 48 hours at 3-4°C. This give structure and refinement to the wine. The production is about 100.000 bottles per year.
Characteristics of the Lugana Molin Doc wine
It has a bright straw yellow color without any reflections. The perfume has a long and consistent fruity aroma with remarked kiwi, lavender, fresh almond and musk hints. In the end there are some pleasant mulberry flower and pennyroyal aromas. The taste is fresh and soft with light fruity aromas with a salty ending.
Suggested pairings with the Lugana Molin Doc
The Molin Lugana DOC is perfect with reach courses, fish sauces, raw meat and medium aged cheeses. It is perfect also with low-medium aged pecorino. It has to be served at 10°C in tall and tapered wine glasses to concentrate the aromas on the nose.
