The delicate taste and the intensity of the scent are the characteristics that make excellent the Rosé DOP Vigneti storici (ancient vineyards) which is an excellent rosé of the prestigious Selected line of the Cà Maiol company. The name Valtenesi Chiaretto “Roseri” was given because of it delicate scent that reminds a rose bud. This wine is produced with the four red local varieties of the grapes from Garda: the Groppello, the Marzemino, the Sangiovese and the Barbera. Once picked they have to be macerate at cold temperatures for 48 hours so they produces an intense and elegant must rich of body. The particular structure permits a longer longevity by always keeping the fragrance. Thanks to the particular geographic conformity of the clay soils at Garda, this marvelous rosé has a floral scent which is suitable to be matched with local courses.
Characteristics of the Valtenesi Chiaretto Roseri DOC
It has a light pink color with very clear orange reflections. The perfume is wide and enveloping and it reminds peach blossoms, white currant, incense and litchis. The taste is soft and persistent but also sapid and mineral with a white peach and sage end. The proof is 12,5%.
Suggested pairings with the Valtenesi Chiaretto DOC
The Roseri DOP wine is perfect with structured courses with fish and with baked green fish with spices and little tomatoes. It is very good also with tagliatelle and mushrooms or with herbs creams. It is very good also with white meats and grilled vegetables. It has to be served at 10°-12°C in high and tapered wine glasses.
