Rosso Conero "Serrano" DOC UMANI RONCHI

This unusual blend by Umani Ronchi is able to satisfy the taste of the wine lovers. Serrano is composed by 85% Montepulciano and 15% Sangiovese, cultivated in the area of Conero, one of the most important regions for the production of wines. The vineyards are located around Osimo and Ancona, where the lands are mainly characterized by clay and limestone. The production quantities swing from 90-100 quintals per hectare. The harvest is planned between the end of September and the first decade of October. The wine making starts with soft pressing and elimination of stalks. Cryomaceration follows, keeping alive the typical scents that characterize the fruit. After alcoholic and malolactic fermentation, the wine ages in steel tanks for 4-5 months.

Features of the "Serrano" DOC wine

The organoleptic exam shows a ruby red colour with violet shades. Its perfume recalls mature sour cherry that conquers. Pulp taste joined to a good structure that makes it easy-drinking.
