This Nobile Di Montepulciano "Antica Chiusina" of Fattoria del Cerro Winery is produced exclusively with Prugnolo Gentile Sangiovese grapes according to the tradition. Immediately after the manual harvest in boxes, the wine begins to ferment in steel at a controlled temperature of 24-28°C with daily pumping over and délestage; after the alcoholic fermentation we proceed with a maceration at 29°C. The wine is then transferred to French oak barrels for a period of 18 months before being bottled.
Characteristics of this Tuscan wine
To the organoleptic examination this wine shows a garnet red color and aromas of small red fruits; on the palate the finish is spicy and balsamic and with well balanced tannins. Good persistence.
