The Bandarossa Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG Extra Dry Millesimato is one of the iconic wines of the Bortolomiol Winery: it is usually dedicated to special occasions, such as the celebrations of major sporting events. Originally the "red band" was a sign placed by Giuliano Bortolomiol, founder of the winery, on the bottles of the best selections. This Prosecco is produced with Glera grapes grown in the vineyards located on the hills of San Pietro di Barbozza and Santo Stefano. After the harvest, which takes place between 15 and 30 September, the wine is vinified in white by soft pressing. The primary fermentation takes place on selected yeasts and at controlled temperature; the fermentation takes place at 25-30 days and then the process ends with the aging first on the yeasts for 2 months and then for 2 months in bottle.
