This Valdobbiadene DOCG Rive di Santo Stefano from the Drusian Winery is part of the "Mete Eccelse" line: for its production, only Glera grapes in purity are used, coming from the Santo Stefano vineyard; the "rive" are the typical slopes of the hills of Valdobbiadene, which can sometimes exceed a slope of 50% but which enjoy a privileged position; this means that the clusters are abundant and with golden berries of strong intensity. After the manual harvest which takes place in the first ten days of September, the grapes are vinified in white with soft pressing; the sparkling wine is made in an autoclave according to the Martinotti Charmat Method.
Characteristics of this extra dry sparkling wine
Upon organoleptic examination this Drusian prosecco shows a straw yellow color with greenish reflections and a fine and persistent perlage. The olfactory notes refer to white-fleshed fruits with a hint of acacia. On the palate it is characterized by good harmony.
