This spumante metodo classico rosé from Giorgi Winery comes from the heart of the Oltrepò Pavese area: the pure Pinot Nero grapes are harvested in Montecalvo Versiggia, S. Maria della Versa and Rocca De' Giorgi, near Pavia. Harvesting takes place between the end of August and the beginning of September: after picking, the bunches are pressed to extract the free-run must, which is then subjected to fermentation at a controlled temperature of 18 C° in steel tanks. During the spring following the harvest, bottling takes place and the wine is aged for 36 months. After disgorging, the bottles remain in the cellar for a further 6 months.
Characteristics of this wine from the Giorgi Winery
