Sauvignon is a white grape variety native to Bordeaux that has found fertile ground in the hilly area of Friuli. For this white wine from Cantina Monviert, pure Sauvignon grapes are used, hand-picked during the harvest. This is followed by destemming and short maceration for 4/6 hours at controlled temperature. We proceed with soft pressing thanks to which we obtain a must that clarifies through decantation. We proceed with temperature-controlled alcoholic fermentation in steel. Final aging in steel for 3-4 months, with frequent handling.
Characteristics of this wine from Friuli Venezia Giulia
It has a pale straw yellow color with greenish reflections. The olfactory notes are intense, rich and fruity, with hints of melon and banana. On the palate it is soft, velvety and pleasantly aromatic.
