Wine description
This Apulian red wine from Cantina Due Palme is produced from vineyards located in the provinces of Brindisi, Lecce and Taranto. The pure Negroamaro grapes are harvested in mid-September and then fermented in steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 23-25 °C for about 10 days. The ageing process takes place exclusively in steel tanks and partly in bottles.
Characteristics of this Salento red wine
It has a ruby red colour with violet hues. The bouquet is centred on ripe red fruit, primarily plum and black cherry, followed by notes of Mediterranean scrub and spices. It has good structure on the palate.
Recommended pairings with this red wine from Puglia
Perfect with meat or vegetable dishes: pasta with meat sauce, stuffed aubergines, but also mild cheeses and cured meats. Serve at a temperature of 18-20 °C.
