Wine description
This white wine from Due Palme Winery is made from 100% Chardonnay grapes grown in the Salice Salentino Bianco DOP area. The grapes are harvested by hand in mid-August. After crushing and destemming, they are cooled to 4°C and undergo a short cryomaceration and soft pressing. Vinification takes place in steel tanks and is then finished in French oak barriques.
Characteristics of this Apulian wine
It has a golden yellow colour; the bouquet is reminiscent of tropical fruit, yellow flowers and spices. On the palate, it is persistent and well-balanced.
Recommended pairings with this white wine from Salento
Perfect with fish-based first courses, octopus, fried and grilled dishes. Also excellent with fresh and semi-mature cheeses. Serve at a temperature of 10-12°C.
