From a blend of Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara grapes comes this Veneto red wine from Monte del Frà Winery. Located in Sommacampagna in the nearby of Verona, the vineyards are at an altitude of 100-150 m above sea level and benefit from calcareous, clayey-sandy soils. Harvesting takes place from September to early October: after soft crushing, cold maceration takes place followed by slow fermentation in steel tanks in contact with the skins.
Characteristics of this Veneto wine
It presents a brilliant ruby red colour. The nose is fruity and reminiscent of currants, cherries and raspberries as well as spices. On the palate it is soft and pleasantly fruity, fresh and well-drinking.
Recommended pairings with this Veneto red wine
Try it with cold cuts, pasta with meat sauces, summer meat or fish dishes. Serve at a temperature of 15-17°C.
