Valpolicella Classico DOC Tenuta Lena di Mezzo MONTE DEL FRÀ

From the heart of the Valpolicella Classica area comes this red wine from the Veneto region of Monte del Frà Winery: the grapes used for its production are a blend of Corvina Veronese, Corvinone and Rondinella picked during the October harvest. After the grapes have been harvested, soft destemming takes place, followed by fermentation in steel vats: punching-down - i.e. breaking up and immersing the layer of marc created during fermentation - is carried out regularly to optimise extraction of the colour and polyphenolic components.

Characteristics of this Veneto wine

It presents a very brilliant ruby red colour. The olfactory profile is dominated by dog rose, spices and red fruits while the palate is pleasantly savoury with an aftertaste of cherry, undergrowth and violet.

Recommended pairings with this Veneto red wine

Excellent with meat or mushroom dishes. Serve at a temperature of 16-18°C.
