Wine list | Valpolicella Classico |
Hemingway defined the Valpolicella Classico wine "as cordial as the house of a brother with whom you get along", and so it can be defined as the Valpolicella Classico DOC "Bonacosta", produced by the winery Masi del Veneto. It ages for six months in oak barrels of Slavonia and Allier, and is completed with a month of aging in bottle. Simple, elegant and fresh, it is fantastic to embellish the most serene and peaceful everyday convivialities. The varieties used in blend for its vinification are those autochthonous of valpolicella and are the Corvina for 70%, the Rondinella for 25%, and the Molinara grapes for the remaining 5%
Characteristics of the wine
To the organoleptic examination this wine of the Veronese tradition and more widely of the Venetian tradition, is presented with an appearance of a clear and luminous ruby red color. The bouquet offers hints of ripe cherry and floral nuances of violet. The drink is fresh and characterized by velvety and silky tannins. The taste on the palate is expressed with a strong return of the olfactory scents, while the closure pleasantly recalls vanilla.
