Tenuta Ulisse’s Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Amaranta is produced with 100% Montepulciano grapes, cultivated in the company’s vineyards with calcareous and clayey soil of Crecchio, in the province of Chieti. After the manual harvest, which takes place at the beginning of November, the grapes are pressed-destemmed and then slowly fermented for 20 days on the skins, in aluminium tanks. Then the aging phase takes place, carried out in French oak barrels
Characteristics of Montepulciano d'Abruzzo "AMARANTA"
On the organoleptic test, this Abruzzese wine has an intense ruby red color with slight garnet reflections; the nose is dominated by notes of red berried fruits, with a spicy finish. In the mouth it is balanced, complex with a tannic structure well fused with the alcoholic component.
