Wine description
Pure Montepulciano d'Abruzzo grapes are used for the production of this Abruzzi red wine from the Collefrisio Winery, harvested during the second ten days of October. Following the harvest, the grapes are destemmed and macerated on the skins for about 20 days. This is followed by fermentation in steel where the final ageing process also takes place.
Characteristics of this Abruzzi wine
It has a ruby red colour with violet reflections; the olfactory notes recall black cherry, berries and spices. Excellent balance on the palate.
Recommended pairings with this Abruzzese red wine
Excellent with meat or game dishes, as well as main courses. also to be tried with mature cheeses.Serve at a temperature of 16-18 C°.
