This biological wine produced by Villa Russiz is the result of the union between innovation and tradition. “Friulano Maisha” praises the denomination DOC Collio. It is produced with 100% Tocai Friulano, cultivated following the biological rules. The vineyards are located around the headquarter of the company. The grapes are harvested manually during the fresh hours of the morning. Then, the soft pressing extracts the free-run must that is immediately poured into the fermentation containers with a continuous control of the temperatures. In this phase, the local yeasts start the alcoholic fermentation. The wine rests on its sediments for at least 6 months and then it is bottled (about 8 months after the harvest).
Features of the white wine “MAISHA BIOLOGICO”
The organoleptic analysis SHOWS a straw yellow colour. The scent Iis structured and enchanting, with its typical sensations of almond, herbs, sage and mint. It is absolutely less sour than the other wines. Its taste is wide and enchanting, with an excellent structure that although is always light and delicate.
Recommended food pairings while tasting this biological wine produced by Villa Russiz
Great with “Prosciutto Crudo San Daniele”. Excellent with spring herbs, like hop and silene that can be used in main dishes and omelettes. It can be suggested with crustaceans too, because its minerality exalts their flavour. It has to be served at 10°C in a high, wide wine glass.
