This fabulous Friulano produced by Villa Russiz praises the denomination Collio DOC. It is produced with 100% Tocai Friulano, cultivated in the most prestigious area, located on the hills around the headquarter of the company, mainly on soils full of marls with south, north-east and south east exposition. The grapes are harvested manually during the fresh hours of the morning. Soft pressing and bottling 8-9 months after the harvest.
Features of the white wine “Friulano”
The organoleptic analysis reveals a straw yellow colour full of green shades. The scent opens with delicate sensations of almond, enriched by pleasant hints of sage and herbs. Its taste is round, elegant and characterized by a sof sourness.
Recommended food pairings while tasting “Friulano Villa Russiz”
Ideal with “Prosciutto Crudo San Daniele”. Excellent with vegetable, especially with the spring-ones, like asparagus, nettle, hop, that can be used in “risotto” and omelettes. It can be suggested with crustaceans too. Perfect with cicadas, prawns, nephrops and lobster, because its minerality exalts their flavour. It has to be served at 10°C in a high, wide wine glass.
