Hybla is a new interpretation of the Cerasuolo di Vittoria DOCG produced by the Nicosia winery. It is made by the blend of Nero d’Avola and Frappato with a beautiful cherry color and a rich red fruits aroma with floral hints. The taste is soft and full. The cultivation soil is sandy and it is located at 200-250 meters above the sea level. The cultivation method is the trellised with the cordon spur pruning for the Nero d’Avola and Guyot for the Frappato grapes. The manual picking takes place in September with a short cold maceration for 24 hours and the fermentation for 10-15 days at 22-24°C. The aging period in steel followed by a barrel’s passage and finally 6 months in bottle.
