Rosso di Valtellina DOC Plozza

This Seducing wine Rosso Valtellina DOC is a refined and elegant wine produced with Nebbiolo grapes by the Plozza winery. The grape harvest of the “Seduction” wine takes place two weeks later than the normal time. It takes place the alcoholic fermentation and it follows the malolactic fermentation in barrels. The Nebbiolo born on the rocky terraces of the superior Valtellina. This wine is produced only during the best years. The maturation of this wine occurs in French new allier barrels which are medium toasted and it lasts 12 months. It follows a further maturation in chestnut barrels. Finally it takes place the bottling and the wine rests for 10 months in fresh and dark cellars and finally it is commercialized.

Characteristics of the Rosso di Valtellina DOC wine

It has a ruby red color almost garnet. The smell is wide and enveloping, it is also very delicate with a rich bouquet of hazelnut and a light hint of chocolate. The taste is decided and harmonic with the right dose of tannic acid.
