This wine is made by 100% Nebbiolo grapes. The Plozza winery of the Valtellina superior produces this sensational red wine Valtellina Superiore Sassella DOCG. This excellent grapes can be aged for 10 years. These grapes are cultivated on the rocky terraces of the Sondrio area. It is conserved for six-eight months in barrels and it follows two years in oak barrels. There is a the constant research of the quality for a refined and bodied red wine and a year marked by a vanilla hint and a complex elegance of the Nebbiolo grape.
Characteristics of the Valtellina Superiore DOCG
It has a red garnet and opaque color not so penetrating. The smell is wide and rich with balsamic, violet, humus and mint aromas. The taste is fresh with thin tannins and an elegant body. It is particularly harmonic and velvety.

It is perfect with the local tasty and structured food. It is perfect with red meats, aged cheeses and with mould or blue cheeses. It must be served at 18°C.
