This classic wine, recognized worldwide, is one of the most prestigious denominations of the Italian wine tradition. The name is that recognized by the denomination of "Asti Spumante DOCG. The town where this wine from the Ceretto winery is produced is that of Santo Stefano Belbo and Calosso. The grapes used for its production are 100% Muscat. The Spumante DOCG asti is born from the same base wine of Moscato, of which it maintains the salient characteristics. It differs in the production of foam with the use of the autoclave which leads to having an alcohol content of 7% and a pressure, at the time of bottling, of at least 5 atmospheres, characteristics imposed by the specification and allowing it to reach the qualification of "Italian sparkling wine".
