The Barbaresco DOCG produced by the Ceretto winery is a wine that traces and expresses the Piedmontese tradition. The denomination imposed by the specification is that of "Barbaresco DOCG". The production takes place in the municipality of Tresio and Barbaresco within the company limits. The grapes used for its production are those of Nebbiolo 100%. The classic Barbaresco is the result of an assemblage of our most beautiful vineyards, a small part of Asili, the youngest plot of age, and the lower part of the Bernadot di Treiso. Through the cohesion of these two different expressions we reach a balance that is more immediate than the vinification of the two vineyards at the base of the wine. In fact, with this method on one side the explosive refinement of the "Asili" grapes is exalted and on the other side the fleshiness and structure of the "Cru" vine from Treiso. In the glass we find the right quadrature. The optimal result for a greedy and typical wine, perfect epitome of an area that moves between structure and elegance.
Characteristics of this Barbaresco
It is a refined and prestigious product. The color is garnet red, with the progress of aging it is possible to observe the appearance of characteristic orange reflections. The nose perfume is ethereal, intense and characteristic. It recalls the scents of fruit and spices. The taste is soft, dry, rich in tannin, harmonious and full. As a young wine this wine still shows a slightly fruity side, which disappears with the progress of aging. The end is tannic. With the sapient maturation it is characterized by a very rich bouquet, with an aroma of dry flowers, violet, truffle, licorice and spices; the ending is expressed with particular persistence.
