This Barbaresco DOCG from the Piedmontese winery Pico Maccario comes from 100% Nebbiolo grapes from the hills located at 250-260 m usl, on soils of calcareous-sandy origin. The bunches collected during the harvest are carefully selected and then subjected to the crushing-destemming phase, then maceration for a duration of at least 15 days. The final phase of aging requires the stay in Slavonian oak barrels of 25 hl and 35 hl for about 10 months with further 12 months in the bottle.
