The name for this wine of great prestige for the Ceretto winery from Piedmont is that of Barbera d'Alba DOC. The production takes place entirely in the municipality of Alba and the grapes used for its vinification are those of Barbera at 100%. The name "Piana" derives from the cultivation of Barbera d'Alba, the prince of Piedmont vines par excellence, in a particular valley of the municipality of Alba which is locally from La Piana. The vinification in steel tanks reinforces the characteristics of the variety, accelerating the sense of freshness and the olfactory fragrance. In the glass the wine emerges for the beautiful ruby color, with purple reflections, and for the remarkability of the fruit, crunchy and succulent. In the ampelographic panorama of Piedmont, Barbera is certainly the most outstanding variety in terms of the gastronomic profile. The contained tannin and the incisive acidity, in fact, make it perfect at the time of food - wine pairing and allow it to stem even the more exuberant, tasty and fatty dishes.

It has a ruby red color and if aged it assumes elegant garnet reflections. The smell is winy with ripen fruits aromas. The taste is strong and velvety. It has a good structure and it is a pleasant wine.
