The Barolo Brunate DOCG of the Ceretto winery represents an exceptional combination of winemaking quality, Piedmontese cultural tradition and refinement. It is a Piedmontese red wine with undoubted worldwide fame. It boasts the designation of controlled and guaranteed origin. The production takes place within the territory of the municipality of La Morra, both for the vine-growing and for the production of Barolo Brunate wine, made with Nebbiolo grapes at 100%. That of Brunate, is one of the most representative vineyards of the municipality of La Morra and has always been considered one of the toponyms of reference for the whole denomination. It is an inter-municipal vineyard, the plot has a total of 28 hectares, and reaches, starting from the municipality of La Morra, the municipality of Barolo. The two municipal sides with regard to the pedological profile, however, do not have great differences and also the exposure (South / South-East) is substantially homogeneous; the only variable is linked to the altimetry. In fact, you can go from 230 meters above sea level to over 400 meters. The soils of the Tortonian period are characterized by the presence of marls, with sand, in particular in the highest part of the hill. In the Brunate family, the Ceretto family owns just over 5 and a half hectares of vineyards which it is used for the exclusive production of this exceptional wine.
