Wine description
"Diciotto" comes from pure Primitivo grapes cultivated as a sapling in Nardò, in the province of Lecce. The grapes harvested from vineyards over 80 years old are gently stored in small ventilated boxes to preserve their integrity. In the cellar they are then further selected on a modern sorting table. It follows a fermentation in steel at controlled temperature, the aging comes for 14 months in new tonneaux; then, 12 months of further aging in bottle.
Characteristics of this wine from Cantina Schola Sarmenti
The wine has an intense ruby red color; in the mouth are initially released fruity aromas that result in spicy hints with a long persistence in the mouth.
