Merlot "Veneto" Allegrini

The Corte Giara winery of Veneto produces this sensational Merlot of Veneto wine, by respecting the ancient traditions and the terroir expressions. It is honored by the IGT certification of the Verona hills and it is produced by 100% Merlot grapes. The cultivation soils are calcareous and the cultivation method is the trellised. It takes place the manual harvest in the first week of September and it follows a soft pressing of the bunches. The fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks and it follows the aging period in steel for 4 months and a further aging period of 2 months in bottle.

Characteristics of this red wine

It has an intense and inviting ruby red color. The smell is winy with red fruits aromas and a vegetal ending. On the palate it is enveloping, juicy, medium bodied, sustained by a good acidity and some soft and sweet tannins.

Suggested pairings with this Merlot

This red wine Merlot Veneto IGT Corte Giara is perfect with traditional cooking. It is perfect with pasta and beans, tortellini, pork meat with sauerkraut, liver with green pepper, cold cuts and medium aged goatish cheeses. It has to be served at 15°C to exalt the sapid aroma and the perfumes.
