Weinbeschreibung
This Merlot DOC is a refined red wine from Trentino Alto Adige produced by the Hofstatter winery.The cultivation soils are marl, clay and a good deepness. The grapes are destemmed and the must ferments for 10 days under temperature control. It stays in constant contact with the peels. At the end the temperature gets higher to have a best performance of the color and the smells. This wine is generous and sincere. It has honest organoleptic characteristics with very good quality standard.
Characteristics of the Merlot DOC wine
It has an intense ruby red color. The smell is warm, with blackberry jam, wild, humus and undergrowth aromas with a remarkable winy impact. The taste has a great tannic structure and it is persistent for long time.
Suggested pairings with this red wine from Trentino Alto Adige
It is perfect with roasted hare, with grilled red meats, with game and with aged cheeses. It must be served at 18°C in a Grand Ballon wine glass.
