The variety Chardonnay was introduced in Alto Adige in 1835 thank to the archduke Giovanni d’Asburgo. It was then diffused a few years later with the help of the founder of the first oenological institute. Known before as Pinot Bianco “yellow”, Chardonnay variety was rediscovered by the farmers of Trentino in the 80 years. The vineyards are located near Magrè, Cortaccia, Salorno and Pochi. The composition of this lands rich of limestone and pebbles guarantees a correct and prosperous growth of the grapes. Single variety wine-making of pure Chardonnay. The grapes come from selected cultivations near Magrè, Salorno, Cortaccia and Pochi, mainly located at 300-500 meters on the sea level. The land here is rich of limestone, sands and pebbles. The wine-making is on September, followed by the fermentation at controlled temperature in steel containers. The last step of evolution is aging, that is managed in steel for 4 months. During this period the wine rests on its yeasts. Chardonnay grapes selected from vineyards in Magrè, Salorno, Cortaccia and Pochi give a complex and fresh white wine and the choice of steel containers is due to the maintenance of the original fragrance of the variety. Excellent for dinners or happy hours.
