This wine, that represents the tradition of Friuli, was introduced at the beginning of 900. 100% Chardonnay that praises the DOC denomination “Friuli Colli Orientali”. The vineyards are trained with Guyot method on lands characterized by marls and sandstones of Eocenic origin. The wine-making considers the elimination of stalks and a brief period of maceration. After the soft pressing, the must is clarified through static decanting. The fermentation is managed in steel containers at controlled temperature. It is followed by 6 months aging on lees, in steel. After the bottling, the wine is stocked for two months in thermo-conditioned rooms.
Features of the white wine “Chardonnay” produced by Livio Felluga
Straw yellow colour enriched by a refined scent that is characteristic and recalls herbs, orange skin, green citrus fruits, apple, apricot, biscuits, shortcrust pastry, yellow flowers, saffron and maraschino. Its taste is absolutely fruity and enchanting. It is characterized by sourness and freshness where you can easily recognize pineapple, pine nut and aromatic herbs.
Recommended food pairings while tasting this Chardonnay
Excellent with main dishes, white meat, fresh cheese and fish. It has to be served at 14°C in a high, wide wine glass.
