From a careful selection of Montepulciano, Sangiovese, Primitivo, Negroamaro and Malvasia Nera grapes this Edizione Cinque Autochtoni red wine is born. The bunches come from the Colonnella, Ortona, Sava and San Marzano production area. After pressing and destemming, maceration and then fermentation are carried out for a period of 25 days. Malolactic takes place in new oak barriques: refinement takes place separately in 60% American and 40% French for one year. Before proceeding with bottling, the varieties are mixed together to create an extremely rich wine.
Characteristics of this Fantini wine
It presents itself with a garnet red color with deep reflections. The olfactory notes are very intense and recall cherry, blackcurrant, cinnamon and cloves. On the palate it strikes with an excellent structure and a velvety tannic texture.
Recommended pairings with this red wine
Excellent in accompaniment to cured meats, meat polèettes, grilled meats. Try with baked fish. Serve at a temperature of 18°C.
