This wine of Friuli praises the denomination red wine DOC. It is produced in the district of Gorizia, Località Mainizza. It is composed by 100% Cabernet Franc cultivated on the plains around Isonzo river. Alluvial soils composed by clay and gravel. The plants are trained with traditional guyot method and produce 80 quintals per hectare. The manual harvest starts in the first decade of October. A percentage of the must is preserved in steel, the other is aged for 12 months in oak barrels. The must is then assembled before the bottling.
Features of this Cabernet Franc produced by Muzic
Ruby red colour with violet shades. Its perfume is rich and herbal, intense and really persistent. Aggressive in the first years, it becomes more aristocratic with the aging. The taste is dry and structured with a good presence of tannins.
Recommended food pairings while tasting this great white wine
Perfect with cool meat, red meat, grilled meat, poultry, game and aged cheeses. It has to be served at 18°C in a wide wine glass that helps oxygenation.
