MUZIC

The company was born in 1963 on the road to Gorizia, near San Floriano del Collio. Its origins date back to the first half of the XIX Century, when the great gran-fathers of the actual owners installed in the area of Collio, starting as settlers to cultivate grapes and to produce wine. Today, the names that represent the winery are: Giovanni, known as Ivan, Orieta, his wife, and also Elija and Fabijan, his sons, pretty young but ready to inherit the property of their father, exactly as he did with his parents, Luigi and Jolanda. The deep love for the traditions characterizes this four generations. The winery owns now 21 hectares, 19 of them praises the DOC denomination, while the other two have the denomination Isonzo del Friuli. Only one rule reigns in the vineyards: cultivate respecting the environment and the eco-system, giving value to the local varieties and planting new vines starting from the same clones; some plants are more than 80 years old. In the so called “Garden of Gorizia”, in the highest side of Collio, they are able to cultivate grapes with the best and richest organoleptic features. The bunches are worked in the modern cellar, linked to the suggestive historical rooms. Here, the walls are characterized by ancient stones and the ceiling and the vaults date back to the XVI century. They were renewed around the year 2000.The production touches an average quantity of 90000 bottles. Different varieties that characterize high quality labels. Muzic produces wines that are the true representation of the variety and of the territory, with perfumes that exalt the essentiality of the nature that generated them.
