This red wine from the Belisario winery is made from a blend of Sangiovese, Cabernet and Merlot grapes from the vineyards of the Upper Esina Valley near Matelica. The vineyards face south, at an altitude of between 350 and 650 metres above sea level. For the production of this Marche wine, the harvest takes place according to the degree of ripeness of sugars, phenols and pH: this is followed by carbonic maceration and traditional maceration, then fermentation at a temperature of 22-24°C for about 25 days. The final stage of maturation takes place in steel for 3 months.
Characteristics of this wine from the Marche region
It has a lively ruby red colour. The bouquet is dominated by fruity notes of red berries, and the palate is well-structured, full-bodied but also very drinkable.
Recommended pairings with this Belisario red wine
Perfect with red meat dishes such as grilled meats. Also excellent with cold cuts and cheeses. Serve at a temperature of 16°C.
