This is the first Verdicchio Riserva produced by Belisario Winery, made from Verdicchio grapes grown on the slopes of Monte San Vicino, in the Marche hinterland. It has been produced since 1988 from 100% Verdicchio grapes, vinified using cryomaceration at 0°C for 4 hours, followed by fermentation at 16°C for 25 days. The final stage of maturation takes place in steel and toasted oak for one year, followed by another year of ageing in the bottle.
Characteristics of this Verdicchio from Belisario
Cambrugiano has a bright yellow colour with golden reflections. The bouquet is reminiscent of fruit in syrup, broom, honey and vanilla. On the palate, it is very intense, fresh and persistent, with an aftertaste of chamomile and almond.
Recommended pairings with this wine from the Marche region
Try it with fish dishes such as steamed starters, seafood salads, pasta with clams and sushi. Serve at a temperature of 10-12°C.
