The Berlucchi 61 Satén is the most refined white wine of the 61 line of the Franciacorta prince winery. It is produced by 100% chardonnay grapes coming from the Franciacorta hamlets. The most of the vineyards belongs to the winery, other are privates guaranteed by the Berlucchi specialists. The profit is 80-100 quintals per hectare and the must profit is 55%. There is a soft pressing of the grapes and the fractioning in musts which continues with the alcoholic fermentation in steel tanks. The maturation and the preparation of the cuvee takes place in the following spring after the harvest. It is bottled by the liqueur of tirage of 20 g/l of sugars and selected yeasts. The final aging takes place on yeasts for 24 months followed by 2 months of disgorging.
Characteristics of this Franciacorta of the Berlucchi winery
It has a soft and creamy foam. The perlage is fine, thin and continuous. The Berlucchi 61 Satèn has an intense straw yellow color with refined and luxury golden reflections. The scent is wide, enveloping, rich, elegant and variegate. There are remarkable ripen fruits aromas of yellow pulp and tropical fruits which evolves in candied citrons hints. The taste is acid and sapid, structured, pleasant with a long and persistent final.

The Berlucchi 61 Satèn is perfect as appetizer with light snacks. It is perfect with delicate risotto based on fish or vegetables. It is perfect with Sauris, Parma or San Daniele ham and with not very aged cheeses. It has to be served in flûte wine glasses for the appetizer or in high and tapered wine glasses if matched with courses. It has to be served at 8°c to exalt the aromas.
