From the winery of Lantieri della Franciacorta, this prestigious sparkling wine of Franciacorta Extra Brut DOCG is born. The result of the wise selection of fine Chardonnay grapes for 85% of Pinot Noir for 15%. The origin is the classic one of the DOCG area of Franciacorta, within the company boundaries. The vineyards of Chardonnay have an average age of 15 years, while those of Pinot Noir are of average age of 10 years. After the harvest, vinification is immediately started with the soft pressing of the grapes and the production of the must. This is followed by fermentation in steel vats and small oak barrels at controlled temperatures. Then the wine is introduced into the bottle where after the second and slow natural fermentation in glass remains in prolonged contact with yeasts. Before marketing there is a period of permanence in bottle in contact with yeasts of at least 24 months.
Characteristics of this Franciacorta Extra Brut
On organoleptic examination, the wine has a straw-yellow color with brilliant golden reflections. The scent has fragrant notes of grilled bread, yeast and minerals. The taste in the mouth is harmonious, fresh and with a good structure with a finish that turns from honey to balsamic tones and toasting.
