The denomination is Franciacorta Brut DOCG made with Pinot Nero grapes. The vineyards are cultivated at 250 meters above the sea level and the soil is clay and limestone. The vines are cultivated with the Guyot method and the density is 5000 trees per hectare. The grape harvest takes place in the second half of August with a manual picking. The grapes are pressed very softly with a pneumatic press. There is a selection of the must and the alcoholic fermentation is made in stainless steel tanks at 16-18°C. The vineyards are vinified separately and assembled in the following spring after several tastings. Then it takes place the re-fermentation. The yeasts refinement lasts 36 months.
Characteristics of this Franciacorta wine
It has a light and bright pink color. The smell is delicate of bread crust, berries, wild strawberries and almonds. The taste is direct, clean and elegant but also structured and sapid.

The Franciacorta Rosé Brut DOCG Ferghettina is perfect with risottos with chicory and gorgonzola. It must be served at 8°C in a high and tapered wine glass.
