Wine description
A decisive, well-structured and enveloping Barbaresco. The grapes used for its production come from the Starderi vineyard in Neive, facing south-west and at around 230 m above sea level. The pure Nebbiolo grapes are harvested manually during the harvest, followed by maceration and alcoholic fermentation in steel for approximately 15 days. Malolactic segfue in French oak barrels aged for 18 months. Further final bottle aging of 6 months.
Characteristics of this Piedmont wine
It has a ruby red color. The olfactory profile revolves around hints of strawberry, rose petals and chocolate. On the palate it is fresh, elegant, aromatic herbs. Soft but well-defined tannic texture.
Recommended pairings with this red wine from La Spinetta
Try red meat dishes, game, mushrooms, and aged cheeses. Serve at a temperature of 16-17°C.
