Colli di Luni Rosso Riserva "NICCOLO' V" DOC LUNAE

This is a prestigious and refined wine of the Lunae winery, excellence winery from Liguria characterized by excellent quality of the products and the respect of the territory. The red Niccolò V Riserva  has the Colli di Luni DOC certification. It is produced with a blend of Sangiovese, Merlot e Pollera nera each one present at 33%. The proof of this wine is 14%. The vineyards are located in Castelnuovo Magra in the La Spezia province. The cultivation soils are pebbly and rich of stones. They are cultivated with the Guyot method. The manual grape harvest takes place in the half of September until the first half of October.  There is a maceration on peels for 15 days in stainless steel tanks. After the racking off, the aging occurs in barrels for 14-18 months and then further 6 months in bottle.

Characteristics of the Colli di Luni Rosso Riserva "Niccolò V" DOC

It has a ruby red color, very intense and deep with some crimson reflections. The perfume is intense, with black pepper, cinnamon and musk aromas with a background of tobacco, chocolate, red fruits jam and leather hints. There are also some remarkable prune aromas. The taste is dynamic, warm, enveloping and important.

Suggested pairings with this Riserva wine

The great personality of the rosso Niccolò V riserva DOC makes it suitable with structured courses such as aged and spicy cheeses or with stew. It has to be served at 20°C in wide wine glasses.
