A wine produced by the Poggio Argentiera winery in the south of the Maremma in the Grosseto area. It is honored by the Toscana Rosso IGT certification. The cultivation soils are located on 300 meters above the sea level. The density is 5600 trees per hectare and the cultivation method is the cordon spur pruning. The soil of Baccinello are pebbly with clay and limestone. For the Alberese area has a sandy-lime consistence. It is a biological wine certified by the Mi.P.A.A.F IT BIO 009 – CCPB s.r.l. Operatore Controllato n° CK91 and the production is limited to 3500 bottles per year. There is a manual picking of the grapes in 20kg boxes and it follows the fermentation with a long maceration on the peels and a refinement period of 14 months in 500 liters tonnaux.

It has an intense and deep ruby red color. The smell is rich with red and dark fruits with strawberry and blackberry aromas. The smell has also black pepper hints. The taste is rich, bodied and elegant with tannins. It has a great persistence.
