Vigne di Zamò's Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso is produced with 100% Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso grapes, grown on the land of the company's vineyards in Rosazzo, Udine. It is a red wine that has always belonged to the tradition of the area but which only in the last ten / fifteen years has the attention towards it progressively grown. After the harvest in mid-September, the grapes are de-stemmed, crushed and fermented in steel, alternating fulling, delestage and pumping over for about 10 days. The malolactic fermentation takes place in steel with subsequent racking into oak barrels and then barriques. After 12 months we proceed with the assembly and bottling. It is a refined, elegant red, capable of surprising in its youth for its finesse and after many years for its longevity. A great Friulian wine.
