Wine description
Rosso di Montefalco DOC is one of the most renewed wines from Umbria region. Grapes that give life to this wine are 70% Sangiovese, 15% Merlot e 15% Native grape variety of the area. Grapes are harvested in September, then fermentation lasts for 14 days. Wine is then moved in barriques, where refinement goes on for 1 year.
Characteristics of Rosso di Montefalco DOC
It presents an intense red colour. On the nose, fruity and spicy notes dominate its bouquet. It’s a medium-bodied wine with a soft tannic taste.
Recommended pairings while tasting this wine
It should be served in a wide transparent glass at a temperature of 18°C. It can be paired with main courses with meat sauce, red meat, stewed and grilled meat and aged cheeses.
