Maroccoli Syrah Sicilia Menfi DOC PLANETA

Syrah is a Mediterranean vine variety that gives its best in in the sunny and dry lands of Sicily. Vigna Maroccoli is located at 400 meters above the sea level, in an uncontaminated place where this modern version of Syrah respects the surrounding environment. It is an important red wine that is destinated to a long aging. The soft pressing is followed by 21 days maceration on skins at 25°C. The malolactic fermentation is managed in steel and wood while the aging is developed for 14 months in barriques made of Allier oak, new for the 30%.

Features of the "Maroccoli" Syrah Sicilia DOC wine

The organoleptic analysis shows a deep ruby red colour tending to violet. Its perfume expresses a fascinating aromatic profile, where spices are fused with red fruits marmalade, blueberries, blackberries, mint chocolate, black pepper and cinnamon. The taste is enchanting, rich and soft, with smooth tannins.

Excellent for the whole meal, it is great with smoked cold cuts and game. Fabulous with dishes of the oriental kitchen. You can drink it immediately or wait 7/10 years. It has to be served at 16°C, in a high, wide wine glass.
