Nocera Sicilia DOC PLANETA

This noble variety is cultivated in a few hectares around Messina. La Baronia, in Capo Milazzo, is a spectacular vineyard surrounded by the sea. The Foundation "Barone Lucifero", that owns the capital, uses part of the money for social and cultural activities dedicated to the children who live in the area of Milazzo. This label is produced by 100% Nocera. The grapes are harvested manually and put in boxes of 14 kg. After a careful selection, the soft pressing starts, followed by the elimination of stalks. The fermentation is managed in steel tanks and it is followed by 7 days maceration on skins at 25°C. After the malolactic fermentation starts the aging, that is always managed in steel.

Features of the "Nocera" Sicilia DOC red wine

The aspect shows an intense ruby red colour. Its perfume is original: it recalls white pepper, geranium, summer fruits, plums and figs. The taste is enchanting, soft and young.

Perfect with grilled meat. It can be drunk young or aged for 5-7 years. It has to be served at 16°C in a high, wide wine glass.
