This sensational wine by Girlan is produced with Moscato Rosa variety. It is a traditional wine and praises the denomination Alto Adige DOC. It is cultivated in the classical area of Caldaro, near Cornaiano, where the lands reach 500 meters elevation. The soils are characterized by minerals that date to the glacial era. The manual harvest is planned in November in order to help the over-maturation of the grapes and the concentration of sugar in the grape. In the middle of January starts the maceration on skins that lasts 2 weeks and ends with the pressing. The final fermentation is pretty slow due to the high percentage of sugar. The wine ages then for 8 months in oak barriques.
