This wine is obtained by the Tintilia grapes, an ancient local vineyard from Molise. This wine is produced with 100% Tintilia grapes in the company estate with vines located at 300 meters above the sea level. The harvest takes place in the first decade of October and it follows a maceration on peels for about 1 months. The aging takes place for the 50% in oak medium large barrels, and the remaining 50% in stainless steel tanks. Finally there is a 6 months of bottle maturing.
Characteristics of the red wine Tintilia Doc
The Tintilia DOC of the Di Majo Norante winery has a soft and velvety taste with a perfect fusion between the prune, the autumns leaves and leather hints together with licorice. It has an intense ruby red color with purple reflections.
Suggested pairings while tasting Tintilia Doc
Thanks to its important structure, the Tintilia DOC wine is perfect with rich courses, in particular with white and red courses, game and aged cheeses. It has to be served at 20°C in Bordeaux wine glasses.
