The grapes used for the production of this amazing Muscat Rosa DOC of the Kettmeir winery is a single variety vinification at 100%. The soil for the cultivation of the “Muscat rosa” vines are mostly pebbly with morainic origins located at 400-420 meters above the sea level. The cultivation method is the trellised with French Guyot pruning method. The grape harvest takes place in the half of October after a further withering of the grapes for 6 weeks in cases. It follows a short maceration on peels for 3-5 days in steel cylindrical container. Then there is a soft pressing and the barrels fermentation of second and third passage for about 2-3 months at the cellar temperature.
Characteristics of the Moscato Rosa from Alto Adige
The Muscat Rosa DOC has a ruby red color with deep orange reflections. The elegant, intense and persistent scent has a remarkable rose petals, cloves and light noble rot hints. The taste is sweet with a pleasant and intact aftertaste. It is very persistent.

The Muscat Rosa is a classical meditation wine perfect with classy desserts, light sugary and with soft tastes. The tiramisu is a perfect match. It is perfect also with bakery and apple pie with ricotta. It has to be served in Tulip wine glasses at room temperature if dedicated for the meditation or at 14°C if joined by desserts.
