This wine is the result of a skilful blend of grapes mostly from the Sangiovese grape variety for 80% and other indigenous varieties for 20%. The origin of the product in the Morellino area, in the Maremma in the province of Grosseto. The vinification involves fermentation with maceration in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature with permanence on the skins for about 12 days. The maturation is developed for at least 7 months in steel and aged wood. Finally, the wine is aged for at least 3 months in bottle.
Characteristics of this Morellino di Scansano DOCG
Its appearance is ruby red, intense and luminous. The nose is fragrant and vinous, mainly fruity with clear references to ripe red cherries, second enriched by subtle nuances ethereal and tertiary. The taste is balanced and smooth, medium-bodied and of good length.

Ideal in combination with the first courses of the ground menu, it is to be tried together with the mushroom risotto. The optimal serving temperature is 16ºC.
