This Vermentino di Gallura "Elibaria" from Contini Winery is a white wine produced with Vermentino grapes grown in Gallura, north of Sardinia; here stretch part of the 100 hectares of vineyards of the Contini family, dedicated to the production of wines since 1898 and for 4 generations. Thanks to a granite decaying soil and a Mediterranean climate with mild winters and hot and ventilated summers, this fresh and mineral Vermentino is obtained. After the manual harvest, the best bunches are subjected to a soft pressing; the must thus begins the fermentation in steel tanks, so as to maximize the aromas, and then mature in vitrified concrete and steel tanks for several years.
Characteristics of this Vermentino di Gallura DOCG
The organoleptic analysis shows a straw yellow color with golden reflections. The nose is rich, fruity and floral with hints of citrus, citron, ripe fruit and aromatic herbs. In the mouth it has a nice structure, aromatic but with a pleasant sapid finish typical of the Gallura terroir.
